Holters Mill is an 'end of street' mill buildings conversion, with some new build, that is accessed by way of a controlled entry vehicular gate. Pedestrian access is not controlled. The parking provision is simple, and is not allocated. However, the site is very close to Canterbury West Station, and is within easy reach of the city centre.
A 2005 survey indicated that there were some concerns about parking, perhaps as a result of car ownership exceeding available space. However, recent observations suggest that things have settled down, perhaps as a result of some properties being occupied by students. Overall satisfaction in the 2005 survey was high.
The site is within an area of on street parking controls, such that anyone who cannot park their car on the site must use nearby public car parks. The restrictions are frequently enforced.
The industrial courtyard offers plenty of space, and entry is controlled to prevent abuse.

In addition to the well-used cycle rack, bicycles are chained to the play area railings. The development appears to attract professional people and students.

The former industrial courtyard also offers space for larger service vehicles to turn, clear of parked cars.
