Built in one of Gravesend's disused quarries, the Thames Way development was unlikely to win any design awards, but its diversity of housing types and generous open space have achieved good levels of satisfaction among the residents who responded to Kent County Council's surveys. Parking is particularly appreciated.
This site is one of several where a range of parking solutions have been used successfully in combination. It is also one where visitors are likely to find somewhere to park that does not inconvenience other street users.
The careful positioning of parking bays can help to reduce the incidence of awkward ad hoc parking, thereby reducing the potential for neighbour disputes.
